MMCPI offers a wide variety of packaging alternatives from standard options such as the jewel box to special packaging/kitting/assembly programs.

Plastic packaging

The maxi-box and jewel box designs are the most widespread and frequently used packaging for data carriers. The main advantage is their durability, providing excellent protection for CDs or DVDs. Many plastic boxes can be assembled automatically - a strong economic argument in favor of this type of packaging.

DVD-video packaging

Although in principle a DVD can be supplied in any kind of CD case, standard formats are well established. They use their similarity to the traditional VHS cassette case, to make the best use of consumer familiarity and usage habits. MMCPI is capable of manufacturing DVDs automatically in special types of DVD-video packaging.

Paper and plastic sleeves

MMCPI offers an extensive range of paper and plastic sleeves, and designs can be tailor-made to your specific requirements. As well as being able to assemble some formats automatically, MMCPI also offers a large selection of customized sleeves as alternatives.

Pacs

The wide variety of design choices now available in CD packaging offers many exciting - and ecologically attractive - alternatives to standard plastic packaging. There are now entire product groups called Pacs, including the most famous example, the DPak, which combines a sturdy plastic tray with high-quality, treated cardboard. This provides excellent protection to the data carrier and allows an extensive choice of design. Pure cardboard packaging, such as the MailPac or the DiscBoxSlider®, is also proving popular.

Presentation packaging

The huge success of CD-ROMs and the need to include additional information to accompany them has often led to bulky, extravagant packaging. However, using different types of packs and cardboard boxes can increase a title's impact at the point of sale. With numerous design and manufacturing options for presentation packaging, considerable ground work and planning is required for the production process. MMCPI’s team of packaging and marketing experts can help make these critical decisions.

We can help you select or custom design the right kind of packaging to meet your goals. We also have a manual packaging operation, so custom or specialized packing can be completed in house.
